Introducing the Teledyne Marine SeaBat T51-S Multibeam Echosounder

Teledyne Marine has unveiled its latest innovation in underwater exploration technology with the launch of the SeaBat T51-S multibeam echosounder. This cutting-edge system is a significant advancement in the SeaBat T-series, specifically designed for subsea applications to facilitate deep-sea exploration and underwater surveys using ROVs and AUVs.

The SeaBat T51-S is built for extreme ocean depths, capable of operating at depths of up to 6000 meters. Encased in a pressure-rated housing, this echosounder retains all the superior features of the original SeaBat T51 while offering unparalleled versatility for underwater deployment beyond traditional vessel-based operations. With its ability to handle subsea applications, the ‘S’ in SeaBat T51-S stands for Subsea, highlighting its specialized design for deep-sea missions.

Key benefits of the SeaBat T51-S include superior data quality, unmatched resolution, expanded swath width, and ultimate automation. These features ensure high-performance and reliability for underwater surveys in challenging environments.

Teledyne Marine will showcase the SeaBat T51-S at Ocean Business 2025, where visitors can witness its capabilities firsthand. The system will be demonstrated on ASVs at Teledyne Marine’s dockside area (HS02) and during on-water demonstrations aboard CRC GALAXY.

Stay tuned for more updates on the innovative SeaBat T51-S multibeam echosounder from Teledyne Marine.
