Tesvolt Ocean Joins Maritime Battery Forum to Advance Sustainable Energy Solutions

Tesvolt Ocean, a joint venture between Tesvolt Maritime Solutions and Ocean Batteries, has recently joined the Maritime Battery Forum (MBF) as a member, solidifying its commitment to providing innovative energy solutions tailored to the maritime industry.

Tesvolt Ocean specializes in collaborating with shipbuilders, operators, and maritime stakeholders to develop technologically advanced battery systems that can be seamlessly integrated into both existing and new maritime infrastructure.

As a member of the MBF, Tesvolt Ocean will share its battery technology expertise with the global community of maritime battery enablers. This membership will facilitate knowledge exchange, participation in industry events, and access to valuable market insights and technical advancements.

“Through active engagement in the MBF’s initiatives, collaborative projects, and knowledge sharing, Tesvolt Ocean aims to contribute significantly to the advancement of maritime electrification. By leveraging the network of industry experts and research institutions, the company can accelerate innovation and co-create sustainable solutions for the shipping industry,” stated the company.

Commenting on the membership, Kilian Hoffman, COO at Tesvolt Ocean, emphasized the company’s role in driving the transformation towards high-performance and sustainable energy solutions in the maritime sector.

“TESVOLT OCEAN is leading the way in introducing ultra-lightweight and highly efficient battery systems that redefine energy storage at sea. As a member of the Maritime Battery Forum, we are eager to collaborate with industry pioneers to accelerate the adoption of advanced battery technologies and foster innovation for a more sustainable and electrified future,” added Hoffman.

Notably, Tesvolt Ocean unveiled the “Kaptein Series” power storage system last year, which is expected to enable more ships in the maritime and inland shipping sector to embrace clean e-drives. The system’s unique feature allows for flexible installation of battery modules anywhere on the ship, enhancing ease of implementation and cost-efficiency for clean e-drives.
