UK-based Tracerco Secures Multi-Million-Pound Contracts in Brazil

Tracerco, a UK-based company, has recently announced the successful acquisition of multi-million-pound contracts in Brazil, marking a significant milestone for the company. The most prominent project in this series of contracts involves a partnership with TechnipFMC for Petrobras’ Mero 3 High-Pressure Separator (HISEP) pilot project in the Brazilian pre-salt oil region.

The HISEP project aims to separate extracted oil and CO2-rich gas subsea, with the gas being reinjected into the reservoir to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Tracerco has adapted its proprietary Profiler technology to operate in this challenging subsea environment, providing real-time measurements of water, oil, and gas phases for optimized throughput and reduced maintenance requirements.

Lee Robins, Business Unit Director for Instrumentation at Tracerco, expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting the global impact of the company’s technologies on the Brazilian energy industry. The contract is expected to create new job opportunities in the Tees Valley, emphasizing the local economic benefits of the project.

Tracerco’s Profiler technology is recognized for its subsea-qualified measurement systems, with over 750 units installed worldwide. The company’s commitment to sustainable practices and responsible business operations aligns with the goals of the HISEP project, which aims to deliver long-term environmental benefits.

Global Collaboration for Sustainable Energy Solutions

The Mero field development, where the HISEP project is located, represents a significant step towards sustainable energy production in the Brazilian pre-salt oil region. With key partners such as Petrobras, Shell Brasil, TotalEnergies, CNPC, CNOOC, and PrĂ©-Sal PetrĂ³leo, the project underscores the collaborative efforts towards environmentally conscious oil and gas operations.

Tracerco’s involvement in global projects like the HISEP initiative demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver innovative solutions tailored to customer needs. The recent contract in the Gulf of Mexico further solidifies Tracerco’s reputation as a leading provider of advanced technologies for the oil and gas industry.

As Tracerco continues to expand its presence in key markets worldwide, the company remains committed to driving progress and sustainability in the energy sector. The collaboration with TechnipFMC on the Mero 3 HISEP project exemplifies Tracerco’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge solutions for a more sustainable future.
