Advancing Operational Performance and Efficiency in Oilfield Markets

UK-headquartered Odfjell Technology (OLT) and the U.S.-based Oilfield Service Professionals (OSP) have teamed up to drive operational performance, efficiency, and innovation in international oilfield markets.

This strategic partnership combines OLT’s expertise in offshore operations, well services technology, and engineering solutions with OSP’s experience in well construction, completions, downhole intervention systems, and abandonment technology. Together, they aim to deliver integrated, scalable solutions for complex well operations and project execution.

Simen Lieungh, CEO of Odfjell Technology, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “The partnership with OSP allows us to deliver more integrated and efficient services across global markets. By combining our operational expertise with OSP’s specialized workforce and digital capabilities, we are promoting innovation and performance, optimizing how we deploy resources and ultimately creating greater value for our clients.”

The partnership is already in motion, with joint projects underway in selected international markets. Their collaboration will focus on integrated service delivery, expanding global reach with local expertise, enhancing innovation and digitalization, and optimizing workforce efficiency.

By leveraging their combined engineering, technology, and project management capabilities, the partnership aims to streamline execution, reduce downtime, and expand services in key markets like the North Sea, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Brazil, and the Americas.

Both companies plan to accelerate the adoption of advanced digital tools and remote operations to improve well lifecycle monitoring and performance. They also aim to enhance field readiness by deploying OSP’s specialized personnel alongside Odfjell Technology’s technical and operational expertise, with a focus on reducing the number of personnel required on location.

Jasen Gast, President and CEO of Oilfield Service Professionals, emphasized the significance of the partnership: “This partnership represents a major step forward in our mission to deliver industry-leading technology and best-in-class service. By aligning with Odfjell Technology, we strengthen our global footprint and expand the fully integrated service offering to our clients, bringing value to stakeholders.”

According to OSP, this collaboration combines global rig expertise with advanced downhole intervention and completions technologies to provide a fully integrated offshore solution for operators worldwide. The partnership aims to deliver full-spectrum lifecycle services, reduced complexity, and reliable execution in challenging offshore environments.

This partnership follows Odfjell Technology’s recent acquisition of a 10% interest in a Norwegian well construction and well intervention solutions firm.
