Vatn Systems Partners with Palantir Technologies to Enhance Manufacturing Capabilities

Vatn Systems, a prominent defense technology company specializing in autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for the US military and its allies, has recently announced a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies. This collaboration aims to further digitize and scale Vatn Systems’ manufacturing capabilities.

Nelson Mills, co-founder and CEO of Vatn Systems, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Palantir’s technology provides us with real-time visibility into our operations, enhancing our ability to foresee challenges, optimize resources, and deliver essential systems to our customers with unparalleled speed and precision.”

The partnership will utilize Palantir’s software platform to digitize the manufacturing process and offer AI-driven insights that will expedite the production of underwater vehicles for national security applications. By leveraging this technology, Vatn Systems aims to enhance its Supply Chain Management practices and bolster its overall resilience.

Louis Mosley from Palantir remarked, “Vatn is developing a critical capability that aligns perfectly with the capabilities of our software. By providing a digital, AI-powered infrastructure for the company’s operations, we can facilitate the faster production of AUVs, enhance their adaptability, and ultimately strengthen western deterrence.”

Since its establishment in April 2023, Vatn Systems has made significant progress, transitioning from concept to deployment and delivering its first AUVs within 17 months. The company is actively engaged in testing during military exercises with key defense organizations, including the U.S. Navy. With government customers already operating 12 vehicles and more on order, Vatn Systems is accelerating its production efforts through its partnership with Palantir.
