Investment in Offshore Service Vessel Platform MPC OSE Offshore

Watson Farley & Williams (‘WFW’) recently advised Eurazeo, the lead investor through its Eurazeo Transition Infrastructure Fund, on a significant $73 million investment in the offshore service vessel platform MPC OSE Offshore. This platform, a joint venture between MPC Capital and O.S. Energy, focuses on developing, building, and managing service support vessels for offshore wind farms.

Eurazeo, a prominent European investment group with over $37 billion in assets under management, supports more than 600 mid-market companies across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Their investment in MPC OSE Offshore reflects their commitment to the growing demand for specialized offshore vessels and the expansion of the European offshore wind sector.

MPC Capital, a global investment and asset manager with $5 billion in assets under management, specializes in transport, energy, and infrastructure projects. Their partnership with O.S. Energy in the development of this offshore service vessel platform demonstrates their expertise in the maritime industry.

The multidisciplinary team at WFW, led by Germany Head and Maritime Partner Dr. Christian Finnern, played a crucial role in advising Eurazeo on this strategic investment. The team, which included Munich Partner Dr. Dirk Janssen, Associate Christian Schulten-Baumer, Hamburg Partner Verena Scheibe, and others, provided comprehensive legal and regulatory expertise to ensure the success of the transaction.

Christian Finnern commented on the investment, stating, “We are pleased to have advised Eurazeo on this strategic investment at the interface of our core sectors of transport, energy, and infrastructure. This partnership reflects the continued growth and development of the offshore wind industry in Europe.”
