Windward Launches AI-Powered Solution to Protect Critical Maritime Infrastructure

[By Windward]

Windward, the leading Maritime AI company, has introduced a groundbreaking solution aimed at safeguarding the world’s essential maritime infrastructure, including cables, pipelines, and rigs, from increasing threats.

Recent incidents of suspected attacks on undersea cables and sabotage of oil pipelines have highlighted the vulnerability of global energy and data networks. Windward’s Critical Maritime Infrastructure Protection solution combines AI technology with proprietary data to empower organizations across various sectors to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks proactively.

Maritime infrastructure plays a crucial role in global connectivity and economic stability. With deep-sea cables carrying a significant portion of international data and underwater pipelines transporting vital energy resources, protecting these assets is paramount. Windward’s solution addresses threats such as deep-sea research operations, shallow-water sabotage, and attacks on offshore oil rigs by monitoring high-risk vessels and providing real-time alerts.

For defense and intelligence agencies, coast guards, and navies, the solution offers tools to detect and respond to hostile activities targeting subsea infrastructure. Private organizations with subsea assets can also benefit from the monitoring capabilities to protect their cable, pipeline networks, and offshore rigs.

“The economic and geopolitical implications of undersea infrastructure sabotage are staggering,” said Ami Daniel, Co-Founder and CEO of Windward. “With our Critical Maritime Infrastructure Protection solution, we aim to defend all stakeholders from this new kind of warfare.”

The launch of this solution underscores the urgent need for advanced monitoring to ensure the security and integrity of critical maritime infrastructure worldwide.
