TendrillWood Wins Multi-Year Contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum
TendrillWood, a joint venture (JV) between UK engineering and consulting company Wood and Brunei’s service provider to the energy industry Tendrill International, has secured a significant multi-year contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) for brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services in Brunei.
The scope of work for the JV includes delivering integrated brownfield EPC projects for offshore and onshore assets operated by Shell Brunei. The five-year contract also includes a two-year extension option, showcasing the long-term partnership between the parties.
Commenting on the contract win, Ken Gilmartin, CEO of Wood, stated: “Wood has a strong track record of delivering safe and efficient solutions to BSP, contributing to energy security in Brunei. We are committed to enhancing asset performance, developing local skills, and supporting the regional supply chain.”
Established in 2023, the TendrillWood JV plays a crucial role in providing EPC services in Brunei. With approximately 1,000 employees, 70% of whom are locals, the JV focuses on investing in local expertise and the supply chain to drive sustainable growth.

Recently, BSP also extended a brownfield services contract with a JV between Aker Solutions and PTAS, highlighting the continued demand for reliable EPC services in the region. Additionally, Wood secured a substantial $2.8 billion contract with ADNOC for gas processing facilities in the UAE.
