Introducing the Yno 320: A Cutting-Edge Commissioning Service Operation Vessel

Germany-based Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BS Offshore) and Ulstein Verft have joined forces to unveil their latest creation, the Yno 320. This state-of-the-art Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) has just been launched after undergoing an extensive outfitting phase at Ulstein Verft’s facilities.

The outfitting process included the installation of top-of-the-line electrical and mechanical systems, piping, accommodation, and system integration to ensure the Yno 320 is equipped with the latest technology and amenities necessary for its operations.

On February 20, the Yno 320 was towed from Ulstein Verft’s dock hall to the outer dock, where the final touches were added. This included the installation of the Ampelmann tower and gangway to facilitate safe and efficient personnel and cargo transfer to offshore wind turbine facilities.

With a length of 89.6 meters and a beam of 19.2 meters, the Yno 320 boasts the innovative TWIN X-STERN design, setting it apart from traditional vessels in its class. Equipped with a 3D-compensated crane capable of 5-tonne offshore cargo lifts, as well as a Walk-to-Work gangway, the vessel is primed for success in the offshore industry.

One of the Yno 320’s standout features is its onboard diesel-electric propulsion system and substantial battery energy storage, which not only reduce the vessel’s environmental impact but also make it future-proof for potential methanol fuel usage.

Designed to accommodate up to 132 crew and clients, the Yno 320 is set to be delivered in the second quarter of 2025, ready to embark on its mission of supporting offshore operations with efficiency and sustainability at the forefront.
