Oil and Gas Firms Seeking Offshore Vessels

Three major oil and gas companies have recently announced their search for offshore vessels to support their operations in Indonesia and Brazil.

Petrobras Tender in Brazil

Brazilian state-owned Petrobras has initiated a tender for two anchor handling, tug, and supply vessels. These vessels are required for a four-year contract starting in December 2025. The vessels must be equipped with DP2 technology, have a bollard pull of at least 150 tonnes, and not exceed 25 years of age.

BP’s Requirement in Indonesia

UK supermajor BP is in need of a supply and accommodation vessel to support its wells intervention campaign on the Tangguh gas project in Indonesia. The vessel must possess DP2 dynamic positioning capabilities and provide accommodation for a minimum of 39 individuals.

PNG Saka Energi’s Search in Indonesia

Indonesian state-run company PNG Saka Energi is on the lookout for two anchor handling, tug, and supply vessels to assist in drilling and well-completion operations on the Pangkah PSC. These vessels will be responsible for material supply, rig moving assistance, fuel and water provision, emergency evacuation standby, oil spill response, and firefighting. The 12-month contract mandates a minimum of 85% local content.
