EnerMech Wins Long-Term Contract with Dana Petroleum for FPSO Triton Support
Aberdeen-headquartered integrated solutions specialist EnerMech has secured a significant long-term contract with compatriot oil and gas player Dana Petroleum for work related to the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel Triton operating in the North Sea.
The three-year fixed-term contract includes the provision of offshore shutdown support services for FPSO Triton, situated approximately 120 miles east of Aberdeen in the North Sea. EnerMech will deliver services such as flange management, bolt torque and tensioning, on-site machining, nitrogen purging, leak detection, and various other essential services.
CEO of EnerMech, Charles Davison Jr., expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “Supporting the Triton FPSO is a significant milestone for our North Sea operations and aligns with our global growth strategy. This contract with Dana Petroleum highlights our technical capabilities, innovation, and commitment to delivering value throughout the asset lifecycle.”
“Our tailored solution for the Triton FPSO ensures comprehensive visibility of the asset’s condition during late-life operations. With our established methodologies and responsive support model, we aim to enhance asset longevity, reduce downtime, and ensure operational safety and reliability.”
Under the contract, EnerMech will also deploy its proprietary System Integrity Management (SIMPro) software, a digital solution for flange management and leak testing. This technology enables real-time insights, enhancing operational safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Located in block 21/30, FPSO Triton produces oil and gas from the Triton cluster, including fields like Evelyn, Bittern, Guillemot West, Guillemot Northwest, Gannet E, Clapham, Pict, and Saxon. Dana Petroleum has operated the FPSO since 2012 and is currently undertaking a life extension program to ensure operations continue beyond 2030.
Following a shutdown in early 2025 due to issues post-Storm Éowyn, production on FPSO Triton is set to resume shortly after the completion of the annual maintenance program. Repair work and maintenance have been finalized, with production expected to restart soon.
