EUROATLAS and Rheinmetall Announce Strategic Partnership to Integrate GREYSHARK AUV into Battlesuite

EUROATLAS, supported by Mimir Group, has joined forces with Rheinmetall, Germany’s premier international systems supplier for the defense industry, to unveil a strategic partnership aimed at integrating EUROATLAS’s cutting-edge autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), GREYSHARK, into Rheinmetall Battlesuite.

Rheinmetall Battlesuite represents the company’s innovative, AI-enhanced digital platform designed to streamline and manage multi-domain defense systems. This collaboration will specifically cater to selected coastal defense scenarios, where Battlesuite will serve as the digital foundation of Rheinmetall’s system-of-systems infrastructure for maritime operations.

The GREYSHARK AUVs boast an array of 17 integrated sensors, continuously gathering data from each sensor during underwater missions, such as monitoring the condition of undersea cables. This technology enables extended range and endurance missions, powered by a sophisticated modular AI software stack developed in partnership with EvoLogics.

This partnership signifies a significant advancement in incorporating GREYSHARK into multi-domain operations by integrating it into next-generation European coastal defense architectures for both military and private sector applications.

Scope of Partnership

  • Sales and System Integration: Rheinmetall will facilitate the seamless integration of GREYSHARK within its global coastal defense infrastructure and will be integrated into Rheinmetall-led coastal protection projects, encompassing sensors, C2 systems, and support networks. Rheinmetall will also serve as a liaison with relevant national defense authorities.
  • Co-Development and Customization: EUROATLAS and Rheinmetall will collaborate on developing specialized GREYSHARK variants tailored to specific mission requirements, including future capabilities, to align with Rheinmetall’s coastal protection ecosystem.
  • Supply Chain & Sovereign Support: This collaboration emphasizes European manufacturing, deployment, and recovery capabilities, ensuring secure and locally sustained operations in priority coastal environments.
