Norwegian Offshore Vessel Owner DOF Secures Two Long-Term Contracts in Brazil

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has announced the successful award of two new long-term vessel contracts in Brazil, further solidifying its presence in the South American market.

The contracts pertain to the 2001-built vessel, Skandi Carla, and the 2006-built vessel, Geoholm, both of which have been chartered for four years by Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras.

These agreements mark another milestone for DOF, following the recent four-year charter contract secured for the Skandi Achiever in June.

Skandi Carla is equipped with one work-class ROV and a subsea crane, while the Geoholm will utilize its subsea crane along with two work-class ROVs. The combined value of these two contracts exceeds $275 million.

Commencement of operations for both vessels is scheduled for December 2025, with all three vessels set to function as remotely operated vehicle support vessels (RSVs), catering to the specific requirements of Petrobras in the region.

This strategic move by DOF underscores its commitment to providing high-quality offshore services and strengthening its foothold in key markets around the world, particularly in Brazil where the company continues to expand its operational presence.
