Subsea 7 gets work on Turkish offshore gas field

Subsea 7 Secures Contract for Sakarya Gas Field Development

Subsea 7, a leading offshore engineering and services company, has recently been awarded a significant contract for the inspection, repair, and maintenance services for the Sakarya gas field development in the Black Sea. The contract was awarded by the Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center.

Under the terms of the contract, Subsea 7 will be responsible for project management and engineering services, which will be carried out from its offices in Istanbul and Aberdeen. The company will also provide equipment, including two work-class ROVs, and construction personnel onboard Turkish Petroleum’s vessel, Mukavemet. The offshore operations are scheduled to take place in 2025 and 2026.

Although specific financial details were not disclosed, the contract has been described as substantial, with an estimated value ranging between $50 million and $150 million.
