ASRY Partners with AtkinsRéalis to Expand into Renewable Energy Sector

The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) has taken a significant step towards diversifying its portfolio by signing a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AtkinsRéalis, a renowned engineering services company with expertise in the net zero energy sector. The MoU, inked earlier this April, marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between the two entities. Senior executives from both ASRY and AtkinsRéalis graced the signing ceremony, with Dr. Ahmed Al Abri, ASRY’s Chief Executive Officer, and David Haboubi, Head of Middle East Nuclear and Net Zero Energy at AtkinsRéalis, signing on behalf of their respective companies.

By joining forces with AtkinsRéalis, ASRY aims to solidify its presence in the energy industry, with a specific focus on renewable power, particularly offshore wind projects. This strategic partnership will leverage ASRY’s extensive experience in marine repair and construction, complemented by AtkinsRéalis’s engineering prowess and proven track record in designing and delivering energy projects.

Through this collaboration, ASRY is poised to enhance its capabilities in the renewable energy sector, tapping into AtkinsRéalis’s expertise and resources to navigate the evolving landscape of sustainable energy solutions. With a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability, both companies are well-positioned to drive positive change and contribute to the advancement of green technologies in the region.

As ASRY expands its horizons and ventures into new territories, this partnership with AtkinsRéalis signifies a bold step towards a greener and more sustainable future. By harnessing their collective strengths and resources, ASRY and AtkinsRéalis are set to play a pivotal role in shaping the renewable energy landscape and accelerating the transition towards a low-carbon economy.
