Trillion Energy Announces New Leadership Team

Canada’s oil and gas player Trillion Energy has undergone a significant leadership change with the appointment of an Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the addition of two key members to its management team. This transition follows the resignation and retirement of the current CEO and Director, Arthur Halleran.

The change officially took effect on December 27, 2024, when the board of directors accepted Halleran’s resignation. Halleran, who has been serving as CEO since 2017 and played a pivotal role in the development of the firm’s SASB gas field offshore Türkiye, decided to retire.

As the search for a new CEO is underway, Sean Stofer has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Interim CEO. Stofer, an industry veteran with over 20 years of energy leadership experience, will focus on scaling up existing assets and exploring new opportunities to enhance shareholder value.

Trillion Energy expressed gratitude for Halleran’s contributions and emphasized its commitment to driving growth and success for its shareholders under Stofer’s leadership.

New Additions to the Management Team

In addition to the new CEO, Trillion Energy welcomed two key members to its management team:

Burak Tolga Terzi: Appointed as Vice President and Deputy General Manager, Terzi brings a wealth of experience from leading energy companies in Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Scott Lower: Named as company President, Lower’s background in finance and public markets will be instrumental in Trillion Energy’s strategic initiatives.

Operational Updates

As the new year commenced, Trillion Energy kicked off operations at its Akkaya and East Ayazli platforms, focusing on optimizing gas flow at the SASB gas field. The company initiated string tubing and snubbing operations to enhance production and sustain long-term natural gas output.
