Cargill has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Veson Nautical, a global leader in maritime data and freight management solutions, to accelerate digital transformation in the shipping industry.

The Strategic Technology Agreement will give Cargill’s Ocean Transportation business expanded access to Veson’s portfolio, including its data intelligence capabilities and AI-driven workflow solution, Shipfix.

Cargill wants to simplify its technology ecosystem while improving efficiency, innovation, and sustainability across its global shipping operations. The company seeks to optimize freight management through advanced digital tools.

According to Veson’s leadership, the company has developed a comprehensive set of maritime solutions over the years, and this expanded partnership allows Cargill to benefit from those innovations.

A key focus of this collaboration is to enhance the experience of the Cargill’s customers. As part of the agreement, Veson is working with Cargill to develop a customer-focused solution that integrates customer insights, proprietary data, and supplier information.

This will help both Cargill and the wider shipping industry make faster, data-driven decisions while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as the International Maritime Organization and FuelEU initiatives.

Cargill’s digitalization team sees Veson as the most ideal partner for this expansion due to its industry expertise and leadership in maritime digital solutions.

They believe that integrating Veson’s technologies will enable Cargill to create a unified system that enhances visibility, efficiency, and control over its freight procurement processes.
