Terradepth Secures Master Services Agreement for Geospatial Data Provision

U.S. provider of ocean data management solutions, Terradepth, has recently announced winning a multi-year master services agreement with an undisclosed offshore energy company for the provision of geospatial data. This agreement marks a significant milestone for Terradepth in the field of ocean data management.

The agreement entails Terradepth providing Ocean Data as a Service (ODaaS) under a five-year contract with a major offshore energy company. This includes autonomous hydrographic survey and data services, promising to deliver high-quality data at a fraction of the traditional time and cost.

The first project under this agreement will involve the deployment of Terradepth’s solutions at a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal in the Asia Pacific region. This project showcases the company’s expertise in providing innovative solutions for the offshore energy sector.

Kris Rydberg, Chief Operating Officer at Terradepth, expressed his excitement about this engagement, stating, “This engagement validates Terradepth’s value proposition of a complete solution at a much lower cost: autonomous data acquisition delivered through a secure, cloud-native data platform.”

Terradepth plans to leverage its vertically integrated ODaaS solution, from robotic autonomous subsea data collection to the delivery of processed data through its Absolute Ocean platform. This platform offers scalable subsea data visualization and management capabilities, enhancing operational efficiency.

With its Ocean Data as a Service model, Terradepth aims to address key challenges in subsea operations, including cost, speed, access, and repeatability. The company’s integrated solution caters to various sectors such as offshore energy, subsea fiber, and electric cable, providing a comprehensive data management approach.

The integrated workflow offered by Terradepth enables stakeholders to extract valuable insights from bathymetric data, facilitating safe and sustainable operations in the marine environment.

This recent agreement follows Terradepth’s collaboration with Oceaneering International last May to enhance ocean data management and visualization capabilities. The company continues to demonstrate its commitment to driving innovation in the ocean data industry.

In a subsequent interview, Terradepth’s COO emphasized the importance of near-real-time data access and processing in dynamic underwater environments. The company’s focus on technological advancements underscores its dedication to delivering cutting-edge solutions for its clients.
