Cadeler Secures Contracts for New Wind Installation Vessel

Copenhagen-headquartered offshore wind installation company, Cadeler, has recently announced the signing of two contracts with undisclosed clients for its upcoming wind installation vessel, Wind Mover. The vessel, currently being constructed at Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in Korea, is set to support operations, maintenance activities, and potential installation work in Europe.

These contracts, part of a combined agreement, will encompass the entire period from Wind Mover’s arrival in Europe post-delivery from the shipyard, up until its next scheduled installation project. The estimated value of these contracts is up to €75 million, subject to the final delivery and redelivery date of the vessel and the scope of work involved, which may include both operations and maintenance as well as installation services.

Wind Mover will be the second cutting-edge M-class wind installation vessel in Cadeler’s newbuild lineup, equipped to handle the latest offshore wind turbines being deployed worldwide. The vessel is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025, following the successful delivery of its sister vessel, Wind Maker, in January 2025.
